Green Skate Lab is now open. I headed up there today to donate some old boards/wheels/etc and found a full session going on. I took a few runs and it is sweet!

Steve, Jaime, and I went down to OBX to skate some bowls. We hit the peanut first. I've skated this once before and it was better than I remembered. Next we hit up the egg. This is the first time I've skated there. It is strange to skate a bowl with no hips but I got used to it and found some decent lines. After the egg we headed over to Wanchese. We were pretty beat by this point but still managed to have a decent session. We concluded the day with a session at the no bowl. Jaime sent me some pics: ##one##two##three##four##five##six##seven##eight##

Matt and I hit up Arlington today. They changed up the hours so you have to pay early on Wednesday. I don't know why they make the hours so goddamn hard to remember. Its better than Frederick though, at least it was open. After skating we hit up a record store in Fairfax and then sat in hours of traffic on the beltway.

I hit up Lansdowne today and met up with some local dudes. It was hot but we had a pretty nice session. I was hoping to meet Adam up there but no such luck.

Matt, Joao, and I hit up the fountains today. I keep forgetting to bring my camera and get a shot of the terrain. We had a pretty rad session. Matt and I both did some long rail slides and found some new lines.

The Matts, Vogel, and Joao came over today and we headed over to the ditch for a great session. It was very dry and clean. Our session ended Matt teaching Matt tricks and vice versa. The Moffer learned a street plant that my brother named M.N.S. (Monstrous Nuclear Stockpile).

I headed up to Lansdowne today to meet Adam and some other people. The pad nanny was there but seemed ok with long pants instead of knee pads. One of the guys brought an 8-wheeler which he let me take a few runs on. That thing is a death trap! Just when I thought I was getting the hang of it I would lose my balance and have to run off. I can't imagine trying to skate that thing on something with vert. After Lansdowne we headed over to Arbutus, which was still partly snow covered. We cleared off enough to skate but it was still a little wet.

Matt and I hit up Arlington today. There were a couple older guys there and no kids so it was a pretty good session. We skated for a couple hours and then headed up to some fountains in DC after picking up Jaoa. I took some pics of them on Matt's phone and I'll put 'em up soon.

I was in Ocean City for the weekend with my Ladyfriend so I hit up the Ocean Bowl on the way out. It was very cold but there were some people there. No one was really skating the bowl except for some kids who took a few runs. I forgot how kinky that bowl can be, but I got used to it soon enough and found my old lines.

I hit up the ditch today. It's dry and I had a much needed session. I haven't skated much of anything recently with all this snow and rain. It felt good to be on 4 wheels.
02.12.05
The snow is just about melted. I hit up the ditch today but it was still too wet. I swept it out pretty good so it should be dry soon.

Its been raining like hell this month. I managed to get a brief session in at the ditch today before work. It was dry but pretty cold. After I got to work it poured and it is supposed to continue raining all weekend.

I scanned in a couple stencils as well as some old pics. I have 2 new face stencils - one of my sister and one of my roommate. Both were done a couple months back. I also scanned in a pic of my brother's old van that I stenciled the front of. It's a little hard to see but those are demons on the front. I found a pic of me that Steve took at the Ocean Bowl (circa 2003) and an old pic of Matt doing some kind of boneless varial at venice beach (circa 1999). I also scanned in two pics from an old Thrasher. Both are taken cira 1978. The first is of the arbutus ditch and the second is of the old Waldorf park. This park sadly looks better than the current Waldorf park, but you can't see too much in the picture. I put up some photos in some of the last entries of 2004, so if you missed 'em, go check it out.

My first session of 2005 was a solo session at the ditch. I was hoping to meet up with some friends but everyone was busy. It was an unseasonably warm day (in the 60s I believe) and I couldn't let that go to waste. I headed over and skated for about 30 minutes. Everything seemed a bit off today. I decided not to push my luck too much, especially since I'm already nursing a pretty bruised hip.
