Nino's Grip This is Nino's longboard. He's one of the locals at the Arlington park. It's done very meticulously. After seeing this I felt my longboard gripjob was inadequate and redid it (see below). Here's the artist holding his creation.

Cinko Uglydoll of the deep. This creature reminds me of the Lovecraftian beasts from the movie/short story Dagon. Also the Metallica song 'The Thing That Should Not Be.' Find out more about Cinko - uglydolls.com.

Skeletal Remains I was never quite satisfied with the original gripjob I did on the deadguys 2 deck, so I ripped the old grip off and redid it. I think it came out much better this time.

Bats in the Belfry This is one of the first grip jobs that I am really happy with. The deck is a Deathbox Battail Pig. It's 10" wide and set up with Indy 215s and Bullet 66s. I wanted to stay with the bat theme so I went for a belfry and a couple bats flying out.

Space Invaders B/W Blindfolded Skull These are Tim and my Wolfpack decks we skated awhile back. Tim's is the Space Invader's invader and mine is the skull. I tried to make the wolfpack stickers look like a blindfold on the skull, but it didn't quite come out the way I wanted it to.

Flying Skull This is an old naked deck that my brother skated. He did the grip job and I always thought it was modeled after the grip on Pushead's 'Floating Expression.' A couple pieces have fallen off since but it still looks pretty good.

Scraps I didn't have a full sheet of griptape and I had just broken a deck so I pulled out the ol' skate toolbox and gathered all the scraps. This is what I ended up with. The board is a Six Gun Jason Adams Shovelhead.

Bane Peter Gunn from San Diego did this grip job. I bought this deck off him when he came through in '02. When he came back in '03 he told Steve this was the last known one in existence.

Pool Coping and Tile This one's on a Bad Apple Bill Danforth Pool Model. I figured the coping and tile would be appropriate for the pool model.

Triangles I always used to draw triangles on my notes in class. I liked the way it looked when an area was covered.
I figured it would look great on a deck too. This is probably the grip job that I'm most satisfied with.

Tombstone This is the grip job I did on the Dead Guys 2 Longboard. I felt a tombstone was appropriate
since it was a dead guys deck. I added a bat because they always seem to be flying around graveyards.

Demonia I find demons with long fingers quite eerie. I drew the demons on with marker
and added the grip over it. Didn't come out quite the way I wanted it to, but I'm happy with it.
